How, When, and Where?

We appreciate your decision to use resources from Highfile in your digital and printed work. If you would like to credit the source, one common way to do that is by adding an attribution line such as “Designed by Highfile” or “Template by Highfile” to the final product or design. Below are examples showing where attribution may be placed based on how the resource is being used.

Websites, Blogs, E-Books, and Newsletters

For online content, a common place to add the attribution line is next to the template, graphic, or design downloaded from Highfile, along with a link to www.highfile.com. If that placement does not suit the page, you may place the attribution in the footer of your website, blog, e-book, or newsletter.

Here is an example:

Attribution Example (Designed by Highfile.com )

Social Network Profiles or Posts

On social media, you may add the attribution line “Designed by Highfile” directly on the image or video you are using. You may also place it in the caption or post description, together with a link to www.highfile.com.

The attribution should stay readable and should not be buried in a long caption or placed where it is likely to be cut off.

Printed Products

For printed materials such as posters, books, magazines, flyers, brochures, planners, and similar items, a good place for the attribution line is next to the template, design, or image you are using. If that is not practical, you may place it elsewhere on the printed product, such as the footer, back page, credits page, or bibliography.

If you are printing a book with a cover based on a Highfile resource and cannot place the attribution on the cover itself, you may place it on the credits page or in the bibliography.

Video

When creating videos, you may place the attribution line in the video credits or at the end of the video. Another option is to add a link to www.highfile.com in the description if the video is published on an online platform.

Mobile App/Game

When using Highfile resources in a mobile app or game, you may place the attribution line in the credits section or in the description on the app store or website where the app or game appears.

Attribution Requirements

Attribution should always be readable, visible, and reasonably connected to the resource being used. The exact requirement may depend on the license attached to the resource, so you should review the relevant terms before publishing or distributing the final work.

Use Without Attribution

If you’d rather use Highfile resources without adding an attribution line, you can do that with an active Premium subscription. Premium covers attribution-free use across all eligible templates, so just review the applicable license terms before publishing or distributing your final product.
