Start by inserting the date of Monday that begins the week in the “Week of’ field”, to define the exact week covered by the schedule. For example, the Week of July 4, 2050, in schedule refers to the full week starting Monday, July 4 and ending Sunday, July 10, 2050.
The template includes columns to record the day, shift timing, and the name of the assigned driver, along with the specific route or location they will cover. You can mention each vehicle allocated to a shift using “Vehicle Assigned” column. This usually includes the vehicle’s registration number, license plate, or any unique identifier your organization uses to identify and track the vehicle during operations. In addition to this, details regarding log updates and handover remarks can be mentioned in the notes.
Use the “Additional Notes” field at the end of the schedule to include operational reminders for dispatchers or specific instructions for drivers such as requiring drivers to check in at least 15 minutes before their shift and to complete vehicle inspections before and after use.
